step 2. walk cycle. (work in progress)

decided i should attempt a walk. the main goal is to have the walk feel a bit traditional while incorporating some flashy-ness to it. liking the way it's turning out so far but it's far from done. any input is appreciated. i'll post a revised version soon. thanks for stopping by as always.

TO DO LIST:
1. add some movement on the scarf.
2. figure out the tail.
3. add the back arm.
4. minor tweaking.

p.s. thanks to the talented tom smo for helping me out with embedding flash files on blogger.

lookin' great! i like the way you're handling it! and the design is sweet!

the one suggestion i'd make at this point would be to try and make a back arm. might even be a dupe of the arm in front set to play at the frame that makes it look right with the legs. it might even work without redrawing the fingers if it doesn't swing out so far where you'd expect to see a thumb, hooray for cheating!

aw sal he's too cute, love the little moustache. I do miss kappa mikey days but only because we saw each other every day and made obnoxious fart noises, not because AC was such a wonderful place to work!

we should hang soon, i know how much you hate the city but if you ever come in hit me up!

good stuff man, inspiring me to get back to animating, been slacking, digging the shot, maybe the snap on the wrist needs to be dialed back a tad, otherwise once you get that other arm in, and a swinging tail it will be great.
loving his whiskers/mustache!

Word up Sal!

Digging what you got so far. I agree that the snap of the wrist should probably be dialed some. The arm should snap going back and forth or subtle both ways.

Also the front leg snaps from curve to straight w/o any inbetweens (as he's placeing his front foot down) making the leg look long when bent.

thanks for the comments so far guys. definitely glad i posted this so i can take it what everyone has written so far and improve on the animation. i am definitely adding the back arm, and i need to tone down the wrist snap. i have to admit i kind of like the snap but it definitely needs some work. need to get back on it so i can post a revised version. comments still welcome.
